Our Governance and Reporting

GOOD GOVERNANCE   •   FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY   •   ANNUAL REPORTS

The Antiquities Coalition is a non-governmental and not-for-profit organization dedicated to safeguarding cultural heritage through advocacy, research, and practical solutions.

Good Governance

We incorporated as a nonprofit corporation in the District of Columbia on November 19, 2014. We are also registered as a 501(c)(3) public charity under the United States Internal Revenue Code (EIN: 47-1206934).

The business and affairs of the Antiquities Coalition are managed and controlled under the supervision of the board of directors. We also benefit from a council of advisors, composed of experienced leaders in areas related to our mission who provide guidance and support to the board. Our day-to-day operations are managed by the Antiquities Coalition staff.

The organization’s governance principles are established by our articles of incorporation and bylaws. These are supplemented by a series of policies and procedures adopted by the board in accordance with current nonprofit best practices. We operate in full compliance with the ethics accountability code for the nonprofit sector established by the Standards for Excellence Institute.

The Antiquities Coalition is the grateful recipient of financial support from private foundations, individual donors, and U.S. government grants.

We do not accept funding from foreign governments.

Financial Accountability

The Antiquities Coalition is proud to have earned the Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar, one of the world’s largest sources of nonprofit information.
